oh shit um PSA: if you turn on or schedule Night Light in Windows 11 it will literally never turn off unless you restart your computer. even now I’m not 100% sure that it’s completely turned off lol - it’s got me paranoid. does white look a little more orange now? I can’t tell

this might be a hot take but the squash and stretch in Overwatch’s animations is so cursed. the game is not nearly stylized enough to have melee weapons bending and rippling like they’re giant gummies. and it’s not just a problem if you frame-by-frame it - it stands out to me even watching it at normal speed

ughh okay I’m biting the bullet today and installing Windows 11. I really really hope nothing breaks

I’m definitely going to need to install something that’ll give me the Windows 10 start menu in Windows 11, too, because I don’t think I could live without that start menu at this point

I can tell that I don’t know much about fantasy because anytime someone mentions a fantasy trope that’s “really overdone” it’s one that I’ve literally never heard of before. like:

• humans are the only race that can’t do magic but they’re also the only race that has technology

• angels are evil and demons are good (my paracosm is this but I’ve never seen it anywhere else)

• dwarves really like holding grudges

in all three cases these were thrown out as obvious examples of overdone tropes, as if everyone is already aware of them and also tired of them. which i find pretty surreal because like, I’ve played Skyrim, Runescape, World of Warcraft and lots of other fantasy games but I’ve never encountered them before at all
