I sometimes post NSFW/kinky/lewd things behind CWs. this should go without saying but if you're a minor please do not interact with anything lewd/NSFW that I post
I have very limited energy and am very shy so it might take me a long time to reply to messages sometimes, or I might not be able to reply at all. this is kind of an "output only" account for the most part, but I'm hopeful that I can change that over time
I sometimes use curly braces to {clearly show where a grammatical phrase begins and ends}, like that. you can think of them like parenthesis in code or math, except they operate on grammar instead

An invaluable tool for the prolific stickerererer: Not only does it allow access to heights (or breadths!) you'd have to climb to slap, the squeegee on the end clears water and rubs grime off smooth surfaces. Surfaces, weather, or heights that would prevent the less-equipped vandal are no longer an impediment!
Collapsed, they are 8.5" (22cm) and fit in your pocket. Extended, they increase your reach by 38" (96cm)!

like Total Biscuit (RIP) and The Spiffing Brit both really play(ed) up their Englishness. and of course there’s Jacksepticeye playing up his Irishness. strangely I don’t think Pewdiepie ever played much into being Swedish - maybe because a lot of Americans don’t know much about Sweden? although he could’ve done a viking persona - Americans love vikings
another interesting counterexample is Nerd Cubed who always felt to me like he was playing for an audience of English people, and it was just a happy accident that a lot of non-English people liked him too. but that doesn’t mean he has to explain what a Womble is or avoid making Taskmaster references

I used to think it was kinda weird how the acronym LGBTQIA+ was expanded to be so long, and how the rainbow flag kept having stuff added to it. but that was when I had just learned that I was queer, while I was still discovering what that meant and what issues our community faces
now I think it can be a very powerful thing - like a canary in a coal mine. for example it’s very telling if you find an “LGB” group (I’ve seen many of these in my red state 😓), or if someone is using a pride flag that doesn’t include black and brown stripes. if “LGBTQIA+” is the norm, it forces people to explicitly name every group they’re showing support for, instead of hoping that they can sweep their lack of support for certain groups under the rug. something like “LGBTQA” or especially “LGB” stands out now, in a way that it wouldn’t if we used a term like GSRM instead

kasdeyaI’m ngl I am genuinely considering using Windows 11 instead of switching to Linux once Windows 10 reaches end-of-life
playing games is just such an important part of my life and I know Proton has gotten drastically better but games still run worse overall on Linux (thanks to shitty video card drivers, which isn’t Linux’s fault) and also tend to be glitchier too (thanks to Proton not being perfect yet)
also Linux just frustrates me a lot lol. like… a lot. it’s so fucking arcane and when you search for help everyone is so smug and elitist
the spyware on Windows 11 worries me, but I’m hoping that O&O ShutUp 10 is going to be enough to disable it all

kasdeyathere are so many shooters coming out with great aesthetics, fantastically high-quality assets, well-tuned gunplay, cool unique mechanics… and they make them into live service sweatfests that are going to get shut down by the end of the quarter when they don’t meet expected metrics
that’s not really what I have a problem with (executives gonna executive). what I have a problem with is… okay now you have a ton of expertly-crafted assets that all work together perfectly. you’ve got a whole AAA-quality vibe all packaged and ready to go, complete with fully-functioning gameplay systems. and you’re just going to throw it all in the trash and start on the next game from scratch?
why not use them to make a super-cheap AA/indie-budget singleplayer game? it doesn’t have to have a mind-blowing story and a ton of expensive setpieces - it could literally be a singleplayer roguelite if they wanted. no voice actors, no writers, just a small dev team to tie everything together into a cohesive experience. and people would be much more interested in playing a $15 singleplayer shooter with AAA-quality assets, than they would be in playing Rainbow Six Overwatch Global Offensive #53253. obviously they wouldn’t make their money back on the failed live service game, but they would still get a lot of money
and if they’re not interested in doing that, why not sell all of their assets to indie and AA devs? if they’re so focused on profit to the exclusion of all else, why not rip their failed games to pieces and sell the pieces to anyone who wants them? they’re definitely never using those assets again, and what a waste when so many AA and indie teams are forced to waste time making assets from scratch
anyway idk it bothers me to see perfectly-tuned AAA assets just get flushed down the toilet when I would kill for a singleplayer version of Valorant or Rainbow Six Siege or something
