uggghh UI stuff is way too boring to be this difficult. I hate making UIs so much
but! #GAGSProject now automatically saves your gender preferences after every search, so you don’t have to enter them every time. I just need to do a few more things before I can consider hosting it somewhere for everyone to use. those things are:
after that I’m pretty sure I can just start figuring out how to host it
the more I work with HTML, CSS, and JS the more footguns I find
today I learned that - although you have to escape all raw < and > characters in HTML with < and > respectively under all(?) other circumstances - you should never do that if those characters are inside of a <script> tag
seriously?
anime girls must have some ancient curse that ruins any game they’re part of
(I just tried Stellar Blade earlier today and wasn’t able to enjoy it at all. I can’t believe there are still unskippable cutscenes in 2025. I actually came kinda close to liking AI Limit though, but unfortunately it’s the new, twitchy style of soulslike instead of the older slower kind that I like)
@ilobmirt I honestly love that kind of content. Defunctland and Jenny Nicholson and a few other scattered videos that I’ve found in that vein are so good. like there’s a great video about Hoot and Chief - two people who did urbex inside of a Disney ride while it was actively running and it’s an incredible story
@desea there are some drugs that can increase libido or pleasure, but it really depends on the specific person. when I first went onto citalopram it basically put me in heat for like 4 weeks straight and everything felt amplified too
also I’ve heard that going onto T can increase libido a lot
also I just want to say that: holy shit is PowerToys’ OCR tool good and convenient for making alt-text. I literally just press Meta-Shift-T and highlight some text in the image and then paste it into the alt text box and that’s it? sometimes I need to manually remove some word wrapping or correct like 1-2 letters but that’s it and I love it
they’re talking about Defunctland btw and I think this is specifically about the FastPass video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yjZpBq1XBE
things ive learned from games that also have applied to my real life
let’s gooo they updated the demo for Starship Simulator with a ton of new content! I’m pretty excited to check it all out
fun fact: every game on Steam that lets you play as a cute anime girl also has kernel-level anti-cheat that runs at boot
(this might be a slight exaggeration but fuck if I’m not noticing a trend. I’m specifically thinking of every MiHoYo game and also PvP games like Fate Trigger)
@cali awww *hugs back* thank you - I really appreciate it
unfortunately I’ve only gotten worse since then but I do seem to be improving in the past few hours at least, so I’m really hoping that I’ll be (mostly) back to normal by the end of today, at least

Come listen to another cozy Elder Scrolls reading~
This story is about the mystery of the two assassin brotherhoods, the Dark Brotherhood and the Morag Tong, their religious foundations, and changes over their evolution which led to a bloody yet shadowy war between them.

I think everyone is familiar with the Dark Brotherhood, but the Morag Tong may be a bit less known, especially to those who haven't played Morrowind. Though this isn't a whole book dedicated to that, it is one of a few readings I've done that touch on the topic, and hopefully, over time, people can get a more complete picture of this oft-looked-over group of assassins that has left its mark on Tamrielic history

@konstruct ooh I do love femboys. that’s a good thought - thank you!
in C programming language, it's possible to add numbers and strings together, for example this program will print 0.5
#include <stdio.h>
int main() {
puts(1 + "-0.5");
}
