I want to write a highly serious story that quotes Garfield comics with the same reverent gravitas that’s usually reserved for Romantic poetry or stanzas from Greek epics
not just because it would be funny but also to make a point: all art is equal whether you like it or not. there is absolutely nothing that elevates Lord Byron above Seth MacFarlane or whoever wrote The Simpsons
Pygmalion was definitely a shallow fuckboy. there is no other explanation
how do you fall in love with a statue. it is physically incapable of having a personality. it is literally only booba. ass n tity is the whole of its existence
madly in love with his own goonslop. shameful.
@rgo omg yes I’ve loved both Creeper World 4 and Creeper World IXE. it’s such a good series with really cool mechanics and it’s also the closest thing to RTSes that I’ve been able to enjoy
I actually had a lot of fun designing systems for containing creeper in IXE - like water valves to keep it contained for example. so I hope the next Creeper World game (if there is one) will give me even more complex mechanics that I can treat as emergent engineering puzzles lol
all the game-of-the-year titles this year are games that I can’t play :/ I hope next year they’ll all be like:
The vast majority of queer discourse can be answered by “man i think it depends” and that’s something I think a lot of queer people need to get through their heads sometimes (this isn’t about anything specific/recent just some various thoughts I’ve had from seeing discourse)
Huh!
"Introverts fared best when their interactions with the team were task oriented and their interactions with supervisors were relational. Extraverts showed the opposite relationship: they reported higher productivity and lower stress when their interactions with supervisors were task-oriented and their interactions with the team were relational"

it is okay to just unfollow someone if you don't want them on your timeline anymore for any or literally just no reason at all. You can still be friends with them. You do not need to dislike them.
it is just how you curate your timeline on here.

@kasdeya I was watching TGA today with friends, and we were talking about something similar, namely that the things that were overtly sexual were only shown packaged with horror and/or gore
basically, the religious hegemonies of our world over the last few centuries have given us a warped view of what is unacceptable
I think I may be the only trans girl in the universe to not like at least one JRPG
I know for 100% certain, though, that I’m the only trans girl to not like Celeste
(both of these are probably sampling bias lol but it really feels like it)
shadowbringers has some very aesthetic spots
(pic has simulated eye contact)
there’s a Zenless Zone Zero promotional video that sexualizes both police brutality and torture and I’m still processing it 4+ months later
(it’s okay to sexualize these things (within reason) but what really bothers me is how people think nothing of that video. I’m not even sure if it’s age-gated?)
I blame censorship and prudishness for this btw
I get a little weirded out by stuff like Zenless Zone Zero where everyone is dressed like a porn star and poses like one too, but the only thing they’re allowed to do with those bodies is sexily try to kill each other
AAA Development vs. a Bag of Chips | Semi-Ramblomatic
this is a super interesting video about (one of the reasons) why AAA studios are generally so creatively bankrupt
