696I try to be very careful about CWing things. sometimes I make mistakes but I want to make my posts as safe to read as possible
I sometimes post NSFW/kinky/lewd things behind CWs. this should go without saying but if you're a minor please do not interact with anything lewd/NSFW that I post
I have very limited energy and am very shy so it might take me a long time to reply to messages sometimes, or I might not be able to reply at all. this is kind of an "output only" account for the most part, but I'm hopeful that I can change that over time
I sometimes use curly braces to {clearly show where a grammatical phrase begins and ends}, like that. you can think of them like parenthesis in code or math, except they operate on grammar instead

scifi is too broad of a genre lol. I got excited because I saw someone on Taimi who liked scifi and I was thinking “omg they also like nerdy {fiction that is about science} like me!” but what they actually like are action-y emotion-heavy space operas. which is perfectly valid! but not what I was expecting or hoping for

@foone wait I actually really like this keyboard because if your left hand is on WADS and your right hand is on the mouse, they can be closer together than they otherwise would be. but you still get to have a nav cluster
it would be even better with a keypad on the left as well

hey so question for y’all. where is the line between dubcon and noncon when it comes to mind control, hypnosis, or aphrodisiacs? like for example:
- someone is clearly not consenting
- they’re mind controlled or exposed to aphrodisiacs so that they consent
is that noncon or dubcon? I’m not sure which add to my CW. here’s another example:
- it’s unclear whether someone would have consented, but the implication seems to be that they wouldn’t have
- they’re mind controlled or exposed to aphrodisiacs so that they consent
same question
and here’s one more situation that I’m curious about:
- someone accidentally exposes themselves to an aphrodisiac
- they desperately have sex with the closest person. it’s implied that they wouldn’t have had sex with them otherwise

Debut albums have a special energy to them, cus they're drawing from pretty much every musical idea the artist has had in their life up to that point. Then they have to make a second album, they've already used up all their best ideas and they have a couple of years to scrounge up something that matches the energy of a decade+ worth of inspiration.

I've seen behavior like this for nearly a goddamn decade online. But it's been getting louder, & more violent. Steadily.
No one deserves to be told by what SHOULD be their own community, that they do nothing worthwhile.
No one deserves to be told that they aren't actually trans.
No one deserves to be silenced, then accused of misogyny for said silence.
I haven't used shinigami eyes in eons, & promptly disabled the transphobia labeller on bluesky because dozens of trans men were listed as transphobic despite never once posting anything transphobic. Unless you count them being trans men as transphobic.— which apparently some people do jesus fucking christ.
There's a reason the suicide rates of trans boys is so fucking high. We HAVE to be actively against shit like this if we ever want things to get better. Not just not being transmisandric, but being actively pro-transmasc. Please. Too many of my friends in the past, & present, have attempted suicide or self harmed because of this insidious coded-language that's entirely violent but made to look as if it's not. Myself included.
I hate to repost anything this abhorrent but. I need it perfectly fucking clear why I take this shit so seriously. Once you learn the dogwhistles, you see them everywhere. Because they are. Transphobia is everywhere & that includes the type of misogyny & androphobia transmasculine people face.
Can we all try to be 1 million times kinder than these people? I'd love if I never hadta see the word "theyfab" again. (yes, I've even seen it on fedi. recently. not just from eris disqordia space years ago.)

I have a theory about this: people have trouble fantasizing about things that are Just Good, because I guess it feels too unrealistic. so if you add drawbacks then they’re able to fantasize about it
but also, if you add a second Good Thing but frame it like a Bad Thing, that sometimes works too. especially if it would actually be a Bad Thing for certain people
here’s an example of “good thing + drawback”:
- would you drink a potion that turns you into your ideal form, but you randomly transform back to your old form for 1 day per month?
and here’s an example of “good thing + {another good thing disguised as a drawback}”:
- would you transfer your consciousness to an android body that was designed by you in a character creator, even if it meant you became the property of [insert pic of very hot techie girl]?
anyway I think this is a big part of why CYOAs work so well, and why it’s often so satisfying to make TTRPG characters
