Just because one problem isn’t “as bad” as another problem doesn’t mean it isn’t something we should stand up against in our community. Division of community happens in multiple ways, and excluding or ignoring the existences and problems of others is a major way that happens. I don’t speak out on issues very often, but when I have personally experienced people having their identities erased or being told “no, actually, that isn’t how you identify” and it has literally driven moderators and server admins off of this platform in the past, I am not willing to just sit by and have people tell me “This isn’t a real problem because these other problems exist and are bigger”

The only way to have a solid community is for us to stand together and protect one another.
