679I try to be very careful about CWing things. sometimes I make mistakes but I want to make my posts as safe to read as possible
I sometimes post NSFW/kinky/lewd things behind CWs. this should go without saying but if you're a minor please do not interact with anything lewd/NSFW that I post
I have very limited energy and am very shy so it might take me a long time to reply to messages sometimes, or I might not be able to reply at all. this is kind of an "output only" account for the most part, but I'm hopeful that I can change that over time
I sometimes use curly braces to {clearly show where a grammatical phrase begins and ends}, like that. you can think of them like parenthesis in code or math, except they operate on grammar instead
people talk about certain stories “sticking with [them]” or “fucking [them] up” or other things like that. but they almost say it in a positive way, or kinda joking? so maybe some people have a much milder form of my experience with storytelling but they enjoy it

kasdeya@catgirl_so interesting! it might be right. honestly I get such a culture shock from just how austere the C family of languages are. I feel like at least 70% of the niceties that I take for granted in JS, Lua, and Python are probably just not there in any of those languages
so I would not be surprised at all if C++ and even C# had no concept of closures
which reminds me of that meme “look at what they need to mimic a fraction of our power”

kasdeyaPSA: O&O ShutUp 10 turns Windows 11 into a straight upgrade from Windows 10. all of the enshittification, spyware, adware, etc. is removed to the point that you can’t even tell it would be there. I have to hear about Windows 11’s AI slop secondhand because I don’t even see it

skimming through the patterns in Design Patterns, you can really tell that this book was written in 1994 by four overpaid men who probably thought Java was the coolest shit ever
“hm how can we encapsulate a function to be called? use a closure? use partial function application? nono we need to create like at least 50 lines of OOP boilerplate with templates and multiple classes and all kinds of bullshit“

I just had an amazing new drink idea! basically you brew green tea and then add instant coffee crystals to make grofftea
it’s probably good idk haven’t tried it
I guess this was more of an intrusive thought than a drink idea
