Job Opening: Unsettling Presence (field agent)

Responsibilities:
- board the last trains of the day, projecting an aura of discomfort
- follow citizens on their daily business for suspicious amounts of time, then turn off and disappear, never to be seen again
- mumble meaningless yet alarming phrases under your breath
- spend ridiculous amounts of time in places of liminality like public transport stops, parking lots or hovering around queues, then leave without giving an obvious explanation for your behavior
- ask for directions to places you are dressed in entirely the wrong outfits for, like the United Nations or the OPEC while in areas people who have business with those entities would rarely enter
- mime phone conversations with grand implications

Requirements:
- nowhere better to be
- nothing better to do
- suspicious scars from injuries are a plus
- ability to blend into crowds at first glance while being weirdly out of place if you think about it
- dresscode: slightly off-kilter

You will be paid according to the Collective Agreement for Cryptids (classed as Minor Physical Anomaly)

If you think you are fit for the job, simply start performing your duties. Payment will make its way to you.

also I’m guessing that there are four courts in this world instead of (what I assume is) the usual two? I’m curious how they differ from each other. is the winter court still more overtly cruel/malicious than the summer court?
