The firm I work for is looking to hire an IT professional in Austin, Texas, and I have an opportunity to help get someoneās resumĆ© to the top of the stack!
Youād be working with me frequently, so it would be awesome to have someone from the community!
Itās hybrid, but you do -need- to be in Austin (or willing to relocate). It will involve one-on-one in-person support, so you also need to be inclined for that kind of thing.
Anywho, shoot me a DM if youād like more info!

@rpgwaiter Iām ngl Iāve felt exactly the same way. I feel like there are a lot of underlying philosophies to why math is Like That but nobody has ever explained them to me so it looks to me like someone tried to invent a declarative programming language from first principles and ended up with something really ambiguous, messy, and cursed
math should really have a system to throw and catch errors. you canāt just say āno one is allowed to divide by zeroā and then expect that no one will ever divide by zero by accident. here Iāll fix it for you:
div(a, b) = try(a / b) except(undefined)
now any time you try to evaluate div(n, 0) you simply get undefined instead! this is so much safer and I have a very strong and nuanced grasp of mathematics
I don't think I like Heathcliff very much but I am fascinated by people trying to explain what the heck is going on with Heathcliff.
@kasdeya what about radio buttons with "would provide answer if required" and "would prefer not to answer / is unable to provide an answer"?
24 hour time is so easy its funny when people dont understand it

āmy gender can only be represented by putting :3 in your database and then adding a RAT to your serverās crontabā
how to codify gender for your database:
@mioontje Iām glad you think so! š genuinely I think your pics are some of the hottest on Fedi. itās not just that youāre extremely attractive and have great clothes but you also pose really well and are amazing at photography and you know exactly how much to hide and how much to reveal, and it all comes together to just be, extremely good š«
@a_blahaj it is actually very Lisp-like! itās a functional programming language with a ācode as dataā philosophy, where code is represented by nested datastructures. and you can even have macros which behave just like Lisp macros, except they operate on {the datastructure that defines a Trickster spell circle}
with that being said, the specific semantics of Trickster are different than Lisp and so are the datastructures, which threw me for a loop until I got used to it lol
#OldButGold - but still relevant with the New York last victory
Apart from the puppygirl and walkies part, we feel a little targeted by this š
