@rowan I just watched a longplay of an old Bob the builder game that I used to play a fuckton, though it was in English, and holy shit the voices just sound so absolutely done singing the parts of the theme song

Idk, maybe I was just 7 and didn't really have media literacy but to me the theme song back then was The Shit

@ShadowJonathan i took care of my siblings a lot and they grew up watching bob the builder, so the english version is forever burned into my memory and it was Solidly Okay

but like, first time hearing the dutch one and it’s actually way the fuck better ??

Btw the modern Bob the Builder is an eldritch abomination that should have never been unleashed unto the world

Say what you want about realism and animation, but there will be something unmistakably friendly and simple about the original designs

Idk, it's the rhythm of the Dutch "can we fix it" lyric (and the subsequent one), which just feels better than the awkward pauses in the English ones, unless I'm just biased
