issuing a correction re: "getting laid off," it actually kind of fucking sucks to find a place to live when you don't have income

every place we tour goes "you have savings and can get a parent to co-sign? we can totally work something out" and then as soon as i call 'em they go "uhhh well somebody's applied before you and we're processing their application" and idk if i'm just unlucky or if they're trying to get the trans creature with zero job to go away.

we've got a place we mostly like that we can fall back on as a backup, and are touring another two tomorrow, so it feels a lot less urgent, but still, eugh
