one of the things that makes Linux such a good alternative to Windows 11 - especially for non-technical users - is that every time you update it there’s a random chance that something important will break and the only way to fix it is to spend several hours deeply learning and then applying esoteric technical information while relying entirely on arcane command-line tools from the 1970’s that were never intended to be used by anyone outside of a small and highly technical ingroup. this is ideal for average people with busy lives who just want to send an email or watch YouTube before bed
