@kasdeya politics has this fun™ phenomenon where right-wing and "left"-wing (morally decent) politics alternate in waves. i don't know if there's a statistical interval for this but i think it's safe to say that after republicans, US americans will get a left-leaning politics shift. germany might get the curve from deeply conservative "christian democratic union" politics back to something more left or we might have to deal with actual unmistakable nazis if we can't ban them beforehand
