reviewers will be like “the graphics are a little dated” and I’ll look at the game and genuinely not be able to tell what they’re talking about? I feel like I’m getting too old to understand what bad graphics are anymore lol

back in my day “dated graphics” meant it looked like an Xbox/PS2/GameCube game

@kasdeya I’m convinced “bad graphics” is sometimes code for “this game’s definition is not crisper than I can physically see therefore bad”

@kasdeya I get what you mean. Maybe I'm biased due to not often being able to afford higher-end computers, but I always felt people tend to be REALLY picky about graphics and write off stuff as not looking good enough.

Makes no sense to me either, since there are games from 2010-2015 that look *amazing* to me and still run well on my PC, while modern games with all that fancy ray-tracing somehow look *worse* while also running terrible
