"it's too important to CW" and other phrases that constitute begging to be spritzed in the face with a spray bottle
"but people shouldn't be able to opt out of—" nope. nuh uh. none of that. cease at once
@smolcasm in any case people can easily opt out of it by blocking the user doing that
this post was not an invitation for reply guys to explain why having poor posting etiquette is good actually. be better
@smolcasm For a single moment of pettiness I wanted to reply “Okay” to the ‘then block me’ guy, wait for it to federate, then block him.
Instead I just blocked him. Decided the best response to ragebait is no response.
@Toni2167 same on all counts, actually. it seemed only courteous to oblige his request
@smolcasm i just don't because of not really habit when it comes to boosts but I do try when I am able to
@smolcasm Mastodon needs to allow CW'd and sensitive posts to trend, and give us the ability to blur link previews.
@azure yep, mastodon gives post with any sensitive content zero trending score
Looks like it should be configurable by admin, gonna look if anyone filed an issue already...
@azure didn't found anything, so created it myself
Feel free to react, discuss and spread :)
@alice ugh that's such a terrible design choice. why would you discourage using the CW system????
