Genie who asks its wishers how much they want it to twist their wishes before granting.

Genie that *rewards* wishers who let it twist their wishes: the harder the twist, the bigger the reward.

Are you willing to let this genie twist your wishes, knowing you'll get rewarded for it, even if your original wish gets corrupted?

I feel like a genie is not going to be able to reward me well enough to make up for a twisted wish, because that would imply that the genie knows what I want much better than I do - to the point that their reward is better than the opportunity cost of my original wish and the cost of a twisted wish combined

plus I don’t know how malicious the twisted wish is going to be. is this the kind of genie that wants to teach me a lesson by twisting my wish to show me that my wish is misguided? is this a mischievous genie who just wants to do a little temporary prank? or is this a genie that wants to cause actual harm?

@kasdeya I would like to imagine that this hypothetical genie that gives the wisher the opportunity to say "Please don't twist my wish" or "Twist it as hard as pleases you" or anywhere in between, and offers a reward for letting it have its way with your words, is acting in good faith to enough of an extent that the opportunity cost of letting it twist your wish is a net positive.

The idea, of course, being that you're willing to get more than you asked for, in exchange for an extra "worth it".

@kasdeya I would also like to imagine that this hypothetical genie has a way of "knowing" what you ultimately desire, and would twist wishes accordingly.

If you're a glutton for punishment, your twisted wish will, of course, punish you, but you'll be rewarded for letting the genie fuck you up.

Likewise, if your desires run so much deeper than what you've mustered the courage to wish for, the genie is going to run to town with that and reward you for letting it fuck you up. >:3

i wont want to risk getting transformed into inanimate coconut candy again so im not sure what reward i would get with such risks

no idea if such a genie would even listen to a don'ts list either because i'd have my limits
