hobbits are basically anarchists. consider:

• they just want to live simple lives full of simple pleasures
• they share everything they have, even when they have very little
• they value people who are down-to-earth and unpretentious
• they shun anyone who has ambitions of controlling others or conquering
• they shun anyone who hoards wealth
• they are extremely community-oriented and form strong communities

also idk I just really love hobbits. I wish Tolkien’s books had stayed as lighthearted and hobbit-centric as the first few chapters - I would have fallen in love
