I never appreciated how good I had it with Lua and Python until I had to use other languages. I went from “yeah Lua is weird and there’s some stuff I hate but it’s overall decent” and “Python is comfy but very slow and some parts of the standard library really suck” to “these languages might be as close to perfect as we’re ever going to get in this fucked-up world”
