okay so I’ve decided that I’m giving up on modding Fallout 3 because I don’t want to go through the same content again just because I fucked up on modding the game, so I’m installing Fallout 4 instead and this time I’m going to review all changes through xEdit manually
Fallout 4 had better not suck. maybe I should play a bit of it unmodded before I put any effort into modding it just to make sure it isn’t too… y’know… *gestures at Starfield*
okay so it’s actually got an unplayable amount of glitches, but I guess that’s every Bethesda game. I guess I’ll install at least some patches and fixes and stuff and then try again
@kasdeya That really sucks! I'm sorry to hear you had to give up on Fallout 3, but at least it sounds like you had a lot of fun playing it. Definitely been there before where I just can't deal with replaying, hope you enjoy the next one!
it works now! and it’s… uh… very impressive from an aesthetic point of view (very good sound design, animations, visuals, etc.) but the voiced protagonist and Bioware-style dialogs are so offputting to me and that meme about “yes, sarcastic yes, maybe later” seems to be 100% accurate. I’m hoping that I can still enjoy it after a lot of modding though
@Shivaekul aw, thank you! yeah I really really enjoyed the time that I spent in Fallout 3. it was pretty disappointing to find out that my mods were subtly borked, but yeah I’m really hoping that I’ll be able to create a similar experience in Fallout 4
