#DarkSouls 1 is still incredibly fun (when it’s not demoralizing 😅) 14 years later! I’m really happy for the remaster, and for the fact that the remaster still has so many active players

obviously there are more recent Soulslike games with faster gameplay and higher difficulty but I think Dark Souls 1 is in the upper range of difficulties that I’m willing to tolerate lol, and I really like that the gameplay feels medium-paced and deliberate instead of being a frenetic clusterfuck like a lot of Elden Ring bosses

also, for the first time I’m using a character build and I’m actually kinda enjoying it this way because it lets me not care about the RPG number-twiddling (which is so far beyond me it makes my head spin ) and focus on the gameplay
