some tips for people like me who get sensory issues from wearing sunscreen:

  • try a spray-on sunscreen that is not water-resistant. on your skin, those feel a lot more like bug spray than sunscreen and might be tolerable for an hour or two at a time. after that you can just take a shower/bath to wash them off
  • always apply/spray it outdoors because you do not want sunscreen residue anywhere in your home
  • don’t under any circumstances get a water-resistant sunscreen. they are an actual nightmare to remove, even in the bath/shower

definitely don’t do what I did, which is to get a water-resistant spray-on sunscreen, apply it in the shower (coating the entire shower in a thin layer of sunscreen) and then try to wash it off in that same shower, which is still covered in sunscreen

I don’t know if I’ll ever get this shit off and I’m miserable T_T

@CIMB4 this is really good to know about - thanks for telling me! it seems like even soap and scrubbing alone can’t get all of it out, and this sounds like a great option
